Way Idea of a Good Time

We went into G.F. Joe’s Market® in Tumwater, Washington. Right after we walked in, I saw the Grand Pasta Shells by Tinkyada® that we haven’t been able to find anywhere in almost four years. They had numerous other brands that I’d never heard of before. They had different shapes, different grains, from lots of different companies.

I was like a kid in a candy store!

They had two freezers full of GF—frozen breads, pizza crusts, desserts, waffles, cookie dough, pie crusts, and dinner rolls. Another freezer had pre-made GF pizzas and desserts. The aisles were full of GF sauces, mixes, flours, granolas, chips, cookies, spices, cereals, and pretzels. They stock over 1,300 different items, including GF ice-cream cones and GF decorator sprinkles (without artificial coloring).

They carry a small but wide selection of GF books. They bring in GF products from two bakeries we love: Sunny Valley Wheat Free® (in Maple Valley, Washington) and Haley’s Corner Bakery® (in Kent, Washington).

We had a nice chat with the owners of G.F. Joe’s Market®, Joe and Kaylee. It was fun to swap “so how long have you been GF?” stories.

I love walking into a store and having my boys hear, “Everything here is Gluten-Free.” It’s a breath of fresh air! My boys don’t have to be afraid to touch items on the shelves, because there’s no gluten to make them sick. They can even eat the food samples and not have to be afraid.

Even though G.F. Joe’s Market® in Tumwater is a bit of a drive from my house, I’m more than willing to go the extra distance and shop there. It’s a GF family-owned business, carries practically every GF thing I need, and its customer service can’t be beat!
